The California Gold Rush was an extraordinary event in history, after the discovery of gold at Sutter’s Mill in Coloma several people migrated to the state. After two years, the United States admitted the territory into the union as a state. A term called “Eureka” which means ‘found it’ is the state’s motto and refers to the discovery of gold.
California is home to the world’s largest, tallest, and oldest trees, such as the bristlecone pine tree, which is the oldest tree on the earth with an age of more than 5,000 years. Moreover, San Francisco Bay is the world’s largest landlocked harbor, which is 60 miles long and up to 12 miles wide. The state also houses the highest and lowest points in the U.S., just 76 miles apart.
With numerous varieties of wine, California is the 4th largest wine producer in the world. Another thing that the state is famous for is ‘modernization of the entire America.’ Famous brands and products such as McDonald’s, the Frisbee, Barbie dolls, skateboards, Apple computers, and even arcade video games have their origin in the state.
The state has gone through a lot, be it a natural disaster or an economic depression. From the 1929 Stock market crash to the 2018 California Wildfire, It has always overcome and improved. The never say die spirit of Californian’s!!!
